New York City recently published its “Final Rule” regarding NYC’s Automated Employment Decision Tool (“AEDT”) law (officially, NYC Local Law 144) with the enforcement date updated to July 5, 2023. The Law requires employers to conduct a “Bias Audits” on each pre-employment and employment assessment AEDT used for candidates in NYC and employers also must publish on company websites the results of the Bias Audits.
