Jon A. Geier, Esq., is a partner in the Employment Law practice of Paul Hastings LLP, based in the firm’s Chicago office. Jon focuses his practice in two general areas. First, he advises employers regarding obligations under Executive Order 11246 and related statutes and regulations. For contractor clients he assists in preparing, implementing, and maintaining affirmative action plans and advising them with respect to compliance evaluations by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. He also advises non-contractor employers involved in corporate transactions on creating a corporate structures that avoids contractor status under the single employer doctrine. Second, Jon has extensive experience working with employers on EEO compensation studies and mitigation strategies. He also has substantial experience conducting privileged diagnostics of employment processes, including applicant tracking, employee testing and selection, and reductions in force. Finally, Jon works with clients to developing diversity metrics in aid of their diversity and inclusion programs.
