Affirmative Action Coordinator
Associate’s degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
A minimum of four to five years of experience with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity programs related to development of policies and practices and data analysis
Prior HR experience 2 yrs
Prior experience with Human Resources Information System(s)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand the components of an affirmative action plan and preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite (MS Word & Excel) and strong analytical and problem solving skills-heavy computer use.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others
Able to work under pressure
Ability to lift up to 40lbs
Ability to push/pull up to 60lbs
The Affirmative Action Coordinator develops and administers the affirmative action plan through management's directives ensuring compliance with government legislation. He/she will provide data analysis and audit support for affirmative action/EEO programs.
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Mine data and update the Association affirmative action plan.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan.
Develop and maintain the required documentation for recruitment and talent acquisition related activities.
Identify and resolve problems related to EEO/AA data, initiatives and processes.
Serve as a liaison between the Association and local organizations for minorities, women and persons with disabilities, community action groups, and community service programs.
Work closely with internal functional areas that contribute to the annual AAP planning and data.
Compile and analyze data to identify trends, themes and opportunities related to affirmative action plan.
Ensure Association compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and related legislation that affects workers with disabilities.
Work closely with the Association on action planning, goal attainment and evaluation of Association affirmative action plans at prescribed intervals.
Stay abreast of new legislation and interpretations of existing legislation-and regulations.
